What Has happened?
The middle of March 2020, I started having trouble breathing because my nose was so stopped up. At the same time I was having trouble swallowing. It felt like there was something in my throat that would not go down when I swallowed or I could not blow out my nose. I contacted my doctor. I even had an on-line appointment with an allergist doctor (ENT). Everyone was giving me medicine to dry up the stuffy nose. Things kept getting worst. One morning I woke up and realized that this had all began in March when I got some allergy spray at Meijers and used it. I began to look at what had been happening in a different way. I began to realize that at times I was having anxiety and panic attaches. As I talked about these things with my doctor, I believe that she began to look at my problems in a different way. She gave a little tiny pill, Ativan, that really helped. I was even able to sleep in my bed once again. I only had seven pills. After that she prescribed another medication, Buspirone, which I started taking the night after the Ativan ran out. I did'n sleep at all that night, nor the next night. On Tuesday, I called the doctor's office because I was having so much trouble breathing. The nurse talked with me for quite some time. I calmed down, Sipped on a glass of water. Things got better. The next day I had another online appointment with my doctor. She gave me a two week supple of Ativan. I am to give them a call with a report after I stop the Ativan She wants to know how the Buspirone is working.

A New Beginning
Today I changed the name of this blog even though I am still using the original address. I may create a whole new blog one of these days. I want to see how this idea will unfold. I want to take you along my journey as a caregiver to my husband who has had Parkinson's Disease since January of 2001.
These pictures were taken in October, 2017 for our 50th Wedding Anniversary which was earlier in the year on June 10. I had asked someone else to take the pictures, but she never had the time. I don't know if she thought I was asking her to do it for free, but I was set to pay her whatever she charged. I felt like my money was not good enough. Anyway, when I realized she was not going to take the pictures, I got my camera, tripod, Don and Ebony in the car and went to Hidden Lake Gardens. There Don and I worked together to take these pictures ourselves. Not the best but I will always treasure them.
The journey with Parkinson's Disease began in the middle of summer, 2001, although we never got a definite diagnosis until January 2002. Yes, Don has the disease, but it is a journey that both of us be on together.
