A New Beginning

Today I changed the name of this blog even though I am still using the original address. I may create a whole new blog one of these days. I want to see how this idea will unfold. I want to take you along my journey as a caregiver to my husband who has had Parkinson's Disease since January of 2001.

These pictures were taken in October, 2017 for our 50th Wedding Anniversary which was earlier in the year on June 10. I had asked someone else to take the pictures, but she never had the time. I don't know if she thought I was asking her to do it for free, but I was set to pay her whatever she charged. I felt like my money was not good enough. Anyway, when I realized she was not going to take the pictures, I got my camera, tripod, Don and Ebony in the car and went to Hidden Lake Gardens. There Don and I worked together to take these pictures ourselves.  Not the best but I will always treasure them.

The journey with Parkinson's Disease began in the middle of summer, 2001, although we never got a definite diagnosis until January 2002. Yes, Don has the disease, but it is a journey that both of us be on together.
